Libyan Forces Fight Rebels Advancing Toward Capital

Clashes persist in Libya as government helicopter gunships fired on a rebel force heading for Tripoli. So far the rebels have controlled two oil ports at Brega and Ras Lanuf, while AP reporters said that loyalists to ruler Moammar Gadhafi regained control of Bin Jawad. A fighter from Bin Jawad told Reuters that loyalists attacked using machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades. A doctor in Ras Lanuf reported that his hospital received at least 15 injured from the fighting close to Bin Jawad.
