Lasorda Recovering from Bacterial Infection

Former Dodger manager out of hospital

Former Dodger manager Tommy Lasorda is back at home resting, as he continues to recover from a bacterial infection that hospitalized him for four days.

A spokesman for the Dodgers says the 83-year-old Lasorda is expected to make a full recovery.

Lasorda retired as the team's manager back in 1996 after suffering a heart attack. He led the club to two World Series titles in his 20 years at the helm.

Lasorda currently serves as a special adviser to Dodger owner Frank McCourt.

He was due to represent  the club at the upcoming Major League Baseball draft. It's unclear though whether or not he'll still be able to attend.
