Anika Baboun said she was standing in front of the Four Seasons hotel around 9:40 p.m. Monday when she saw Bieber walking to the back of the hotel and ran over to him.
"He had two security guards with him and Justin didn't want to take pictures - I took my video before he told us that," Baboun said. "He was really chill and nice with us, we got a chance to talk to him. We talked to him for about 10 minutes. He was really friendly."
Angel Marr said she and her friends were at The Tam, a bar in Chinatown, around 9:30 p.m. Monday when Bieber walked in with two bodyguards, sitting by them at the bar.
"I think it took the rest of the bar a little time to realize what was going on, but no one said anything to him," Marr said. "He kept to himself mostly, with the exception of shaking my friend's hand and asking his name and introducing himself with a little small talk. He just had one beer, had his headphones in and acted really casual.
"After his beer he just headed out. Very out of nowhere and very low key since no one was swarming him. It was great to be able to see everyone let him casually grab a beer like everyone else."
Bieber will be performing at TD Garden in Boston on May 10 and May 11 as part of his 50+ city "Purpose" world tour.

As to why Bieber ditched his shoes, well, that remains a mystery.
