The human foot found in a shoe on Jupiter Island last week belonged to a missing boater, authorities said Thursday.
The foot has been identified as that of Dominic Porcaro of Jupiter, Martin County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Christine Christofek told WPTV.
DNA profiles of the foot matched DNA samples taken from Porcaro’s toothbrush and hairbrush, Christofek said.
The body part was discovered on New Year’s Day at Peck Lake Beach near the north end of Jupiter Island, according to the sheriff’s office. A woman saw it under some sea grass as she took a walk.
