House to Give Border Bill Another Try Friday

House Republicans will try to vote again on a revised bill on Friday that will add $35 million for states to address the border crisis, one day after House leaders were forced to pull the bill from the floor because it lacked enough GOP votes to pass, NBC News reported. Theyโ€™ll also vote on a second measure to defund the presidentโ€™s deferred action program for children brought to the United States illegally. On Thursday Tea Party-affiliated Republicans wanted to attach a measure that would prevent the president from issuing further executive orders extending legal status to some undocumented immigrants.
