Holder: Khorasan Was “In The Execution Stage of a Plot”

The al Qaeda-affiliated Khorasan Group was in the "execution phase of a plot" when the U.S. and its allies targeted its members with airstrikes earlier this week, Attorney General Eric Holder said Friday, NBC News reported. Holder said the strikes were designed to disrupt and stop the "imminent" plot. Khorasan remained fairly unknown to Americans until the Obama administration announced Monday that U.S. missile strikes were targeting its members — although U.S. intelligence officials have been tracking the group for years.
