Google is giving into pressure and promising to keep its vow to "do no evil."
The Internet search giant said it will embed a "do-not-track" button into its popular web browser Chrome.
"We’re pleased to join a broad industry agreement to respect the ‘do-not-track’ header in a consistent and meaningful way that offers users choice and clearly explained browser controls," Google Senior Vice President of Advertising Susan Wojcicki said in the statement.
The move follows what other web and browser companies already offer and it comes as President Barack Obama's administration is planning to unveil a plan to give consumers more control over their digital privacy.
Google has also found itself in the news recently for unifying how all its products collect and use data.
