A new study ranked Fremont the worst-run city among the 65 most-populated U.S. cities, according to WalletHub.com.
In an effort to determine the "Best Run City in America," Bay Area cities ranked near the bottom. Not only did Fremont come in last at No. 65, Oakland comes in at No. 60, San Jose at No. 59, and San Francisco No. 54.
The study defined the best-run city as one that spends its taxpayer dollars the most efficiently.
Lubbock, Texas topped the list.
