You may now kiss — the ring bearer?
Four-year-old Anderson was the flower girl at her mother's wedding this past weekend. During bridal party photographs, the wedding photographer told the groom to kiss the bride. Anderson thought that meant her and she planted a kiss on the ring bearer, NBC affiliate WBIR reported.
“She was calling herself the bride the whole day,” photographer Leah Bullard recalled. “Children in weddings always bring an extra light to the day. Children are so unpredictable. That’s what makes it great in weddings.”
Bullard posted the kissing photo on her professional Facebook page on Sunday. It was picked up by local Knoxville, Tennessee, media and went viral. The ring bearer was another child, named Ikey.
The photo was actually the second try, one that followed Anderson giving Ikey an innocent peck on the cheek. Anderson then “really went for it,” Bullard said.
“That was my wedding, too!” Anderson recalled. “He was the best ring bearer ever, and he thought I was the best flower girl ever! We’re best friends.”
