1 Dead, 4 Hurt in Shooting Near Tenn. College

One man was killed and four wounded after a shooting Monday night at a cook-out just blocks from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee. Police are searching for three suspects. Vincent Pardue, 27, was killed, while Timothy Russell, 31, Dajuan Dowlen, 23, Tony Greene Jr., 28, and Quinton Fentress, 27, were all injured, police say. All five were at a cook-out at a house near campus when shots were fired from a white Kia Soul driving by, police said; investigators are searching for three men seen in the car. The school sent out an alert to students because of the shooting, but police said there was nothing to indicate that the shooting had anything to do with the college, and the victims weren't students. Police are still investigating and have not determined a motive.
