Roger Ebert's Facebook page was taken down after he tweeted, "Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive," following the news of "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn killed in a car crash, reports said Tuesday.
Facebook said that Ebert violated its policies, and its take-down notice said, “Among other things, Pages that are hateful, threatening or obscene are not allowed." There were several profanity-laden comments left for Ebert criticizing his posting, according to the Washington Post.
But in an about-face, Facebook reinstated the page after another Ebert tweet, "“Facebook! My page is harmless and an asset to you. Why did you remove it in response to anonymous jerks? Makes you look bad.”
