Dr. Oz to Critics: “It's Not a Medical Show”

Dr. Mehmet Oz told NBC news that his show is actually "not a medical show," but he will not longer use "inflammatory" words like "miracle," after he was criticized by 10 physicians for promoting unscientific cures. Fellow physicians urged the Columbia University to cut ties with the surgeon for peddling "quack treatments." Oz said his show's purpose is "not to talk about medicine" but to discuss "the good life." He denied accusations of conflicts of interest, saying he has never sold any supplement or product "off the show."
