In this 1987 concept video from Apple, a professor is depicted using a very iPad-esque product called the "Knowledge Navigator" with a voice activated interface. Sound familiar?
The video shows the date on his calendar is September 16, and based on the things said in the video, (he's looking for a document from "about five years ago" when the computer pulls up something from 2006) it puts the "future" date at September 16, 2011.
After Apple's announcement today for a Siri, a voice activated assistant, it seems Apple was only about a month off of what they predicted 24 years ago.

Is it possible they could have things planned out that far ahead? Imagine what they're working on for the next 24 years.
