Abducted Girls May Be in Nigeria's “Evil Forest”

Hundreds of missing schoolgirls, who were kidnapped by an Islamist militant group in Nigeria over three weeks ago, may be held captive in what one local newspaper has called the "evil forest," NBC News reported. The Sambisa Forest is located in northeast Nigeria on the border of Cameroon and is roughly the size of West Virginia. It's known to house armed fighters, robbers and smugglers — including Boko Haram, the group that kidnapped the girls. Rescue forces entering the area would likely face guerrilla fighters who know the forest well and can easily melt into local populations.
