β€œBachelorette” Ashley Felt β€œBetrayed” By Bentley's Exit & Harsh Words

The drama was flying on Monday night's "The Bachelorette" thanks to bad boy Bentley and his barbs towards Ashley Hebert.

While Ashley has previously said she was unaware of Bentley's harsh words and bad intentions while they were originally filming the show (in May, she told Access Hollywood Live it came as a "big surprise"), she certainly knows now, and says she feels "betrayed" and "hurt" by his rude comments to the cameras.

"Throughout the first two episodes, I was very surprised by the things he said, but a part of me still looked for the good in him, and wanted to, once again, give him the benefit of the doubt," Ashley wrote in her "Bachelorette" blog on People on Tuesday morning. "After watching this episode, I can't help but feel betrayed, lied to, and made a fool of."

Season after season, the "Bachelor/Bachelorette" installments are filled with contestants who are often seeking a shot at fame, rather than the series star's heart – but Bentley didn't seem to set on finding his 15 minutes, but rather a different "Bachelorette" – something he had no problems expressing to the cameras.

"I came into 'The Bachelorette' hoping it was Emily," he told the cameras of previous "Bachelor" winner Emily Maynard, who was picked by Brad Womack last season. "Ashley kind of looks like an ugly duckling to me."

But Bentley didn't stop there.

"I came in thinking Ashley was not attractive at all. I knew for a fact I wasn't going to fall in love with her, so I need to go say goodbye to Ashley. I'm going to make Ashley cry," he told the cameras. "I hope my hair looks OK."

Once he broke the news to Ashley that he was leaving, the tears did begin to flow – something the newly anointed "most hated man in reality TV" didn't have much patience for.

"It's annoying to hold a girl that is just crying and crying and crying," he deadpanned to the cameras in his confessional interview. "I was already checked out, you know."

As for why Ashley kept Bentley around, despite a warning early on from past contestant Michelle Money, who was aware of Bentley's bad intentions, she insists it wasn't due to a "bad boy" draw.

"People may speculate I was attracted to the 'bad boy,' or maybe they thought I wanted what I couldn't have. The truth is that I always look for the good in people, and I saw that in him. I only knew what he showed me, and I felt it to be real at the time," she blogged. "I can tell you that from the bottom of my heart, I don't remember ever feeling this depth of hurt and embarrassment."

Yet for better or worse – it appears viewers haven't seen the last of bad boy Bentley.

"Unfortunately, it's not the last you will see of Bentley," Ashley revealed.
