Zika Virus: Women in El Salvador Told to Postpone Pregnancy 2 Years

Public officials in El Salvador are advising women there to put off pregnancies for the next two years to avoid passing on the Zika virus, NBC News reported.

In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control is advising women here to postpone travel to 14 affected nations in South and Central America.

The mosquito-borne virus is spreading across Latin America and is suspected of causing birth defects.
