Toddler Survives Scrape With Subway Train, Suffers Deep Cut to Head

The 3-year-old boy received 10 stitches in his head

A 3-year-old boy ran into the door of an oncoming New York City subway train and suffered a deep gash on his head.

The toddler and his mother had been waiting for an F train at the East Broadway station on Friday after his prekindergarten class. The boy let go of his mother's hand and ran into the door of an oncoming train, police said.

The boy's father, Danny Moy, told The New York Post that the cut was so deep he could see his child's skull.

A bystander who was a doctor helped care for the boy until the ambulance arrived, Moy said. The toddler received 10 stitches in his head at Bellevue Hospital.
