Sweet Leaf Tea Company Recalls Bottles Over Broken Glass ‘Caution'

1.5 million bottles were affected by the recall, The Wall Street Journal reported

Sweet Leaf Tea Company announced Thursday it's voluntarily recalling 16 ounce glass bottles "out of an abundance of caution" after four complaints came in over glass in the product, according to the FDA.

"Consumers could potentially be cut or injured if (the product is) ingested," the FDA said in a news release Thursday, though no injuries have yet been reported. The recall affects bottles for six different flavors of the tea distributed between February 27, 2015, and December 6, 2015.

The Wall Street Journal reported the recall affects 1.5 million bottles.

Plastic bottles from the company are not being affected.
