Suspect Struggles With Antique Store Burglary in Deerfield Beach: BSO

A persistent burglar in South Florida was determined to make his way into an antique store, but needed numerous attempts to get inside, and the incident was all caught on camera.

Surveillance video released by the Broward Sheriff's Office shows the burglar tossing a device at the store's glass door multiple times. When the glass doesn't budge, the video shows him doing several karate-like back kicks into the door.

The incident took place around 2:10 a.m. on Feb. 6 at Antiques Buyers Estate at 2745 West Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach, authorities said.

Still unable to gain entry, the burglar is seen chipping away at the door. After six minutes, the suspect finally pries the glass off the door's frame.

A second suspect is then seen entering the store. BSO said the men stole two paintings worth $10,000 and a computer.

The surveillance video shows the suspects arriving and fleeing in a dark-colored vehicle. They were seen wearing hooded sweatshirts and jeans, while one of the men had a bandana over his face.

Anyone with information on this case or the crooks is asked to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
