Man Charged with Urging Killings of U.S. Soldiers

An Ohio man accused of using social media to encourage attacks on members of the U.S. military was arrested on Thursday by the FBI, NBC News reports.

Prosecutors say Akron resident Terrence J. McNeil, 25, used a blog to re-post material from ISIS, including dozens of photographs, names and addresses of purported members of the military. ISIS had written "Kill them wherever you find them," according to NBC News.

McNeil is charged with soliciting others to commit violent crimes; prosecutors did not bring terror charges. His lawyer declined to comment to NBC News.

Investigators said he wrote on Facebook, "I can't wait for another 9/11, Boston bombing, or Sandy Hook," under the name "Terrence Broadway" in May 2014, more than a year before he allegedly declared his support for ISIS.
