Philadelphia Postman Fails to Deliver 22,000 Pieces of Mail: Feds

Federal prosecutors say a Philadelphia postman didn't deliver 22,000 pieces of mail that were later found at his home.

Online federal court records don't list an attorney for 48-year-old Patrick D'Ambrosio, who was charged Tuesday.

The mail was supposed to be delivered between May 2014 and January.

U.S. Postal Inspectors say they found the mail in his car and the garage of his home in Northeast Philadelphia.

The charge is a misdemeanor carrying up to six months in prison and a fine.

Postal officials could not immediately be reached for comment on the suspect's employment status.
