Police: ‘Baby Doe' Had Pierced Ears

Massachusetts State Police have released a new computer-generated image of a girl whose remains were found on Deer Island

Massachusetts State Police released a new computer-generated image of a child whose remains were found on a Boston Harbor beach last month, as the effort to identify "Baby Doe" attracts interest from millions on social media. 

The new image posted to Facebook, shows the young girl, believed to be 4 years old, with pierced ears.

The remains of "Baby Doe" were found on Deer Island in Winthrop on June 25. She was wearing leggings with white and black polka dots when her body was found. A black and white zebra-stripe blanket was also found with the child's body.

The initial computer-generated photo released by authorities, which depicts what the child is believed to have looked like, has garnered more than 45 million views online.

The girl had brown eyes and brown hair and weighed about 30 pounds. She stood about 3'5" tall.

While police have received some tips as to who the little girl might be, nothing has panned out as of yet. They are asking anyone with any information about who this girl is to come forward. Massachusetts State Police can be reached at: (508) 820-2121.
