Former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo has been hospitalized in Manhattan for treatment of a heart condition, the governor's office confirmed Saturday.
"He is in good spirits and thanks everyone for their support and best wishes," the office stated in a press release.
Current Gov. Andrew Cuomo spent Thanksgiving in the hospital with his 82-year-old father.
The elder Cuomo, who served three terms as governor from 1983 to 1994, was last seen publicly at his son's re-election celebration on Nov. 4.
