A New York man was arrested in Norwalk, Connecticut, on Wednesday after police said he threatened o blow up a store and shoot employees unless the company fired his former girlfriend.
Police responded to the Home Goods, at 380 Connecticut Ave., on Wednesday to investigate a threat and said Darryl Anderson, 24, of the Bronx, New York, called the store and threatened to blow the business up if they didn’t terminate his ex-girlfriend’s employment.
He also threatened to go to the store and shoot employees, police said.
Police searched the store and determined there were no explosive devices.
Police also went to Anderson’s ex-girlfriend’s house on Lenox Avenue and found the man hiding behind a tree and took him into custody, police said.
Anderson was charged with first-degree threatening, third-degree criminal trespass, second-degree stalking and second-degree breach of peace.
Bond was set at $75,000 and he was due in court Thursday.
