Four Dead After Medical Helicopter Crashes During Flight

Four people were killed in a crash involving a medical helicopter in California Thursday night, NBC News reported.

The four victims were the pilot, a nurse, a paramedic and the patient, according to Central California EMS Director Dan Lynch.

The chopper took off from Fresno to a hospital in Bakersfield, which should have taken ten minutes. Crews began a search 30 minutes after there was no communication with the aircraft, NBC affiliate KGET reported.
 
The cause of the crash was still unknown. The company was still trying to contact the victims’ families, according to NBC News.
