Pet Food Company Issues Recall Over Salmonella Concerns
    Food and Drug Administration

Bravo Pet Foods in Manchester, Connecticut, is recalling several dog and cat food products over salmonella concerns.

The recall comes after routine testing by the New York State Department of Agriculture found salmonella contamination in a sample of Bravo Blend Chicken Diet for Dogs and Cats, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Bravo Pet Foods has sold 105 cases of the affected pet food nationwide. Ninety-five cases were sold in the eastern U.S., while 10 were sold to a distributor in Southern California.

"We expect most of this product has been sold and fed, and the likelihood any may still be available for sale is quite small," according to a Bravo Pet Foods statement.

Independent third-party lab testing came back negative and no illnesses have been reported, the FDA said.

The company is recalling the following over possible salmonella contamination:

Bravo Blend Chicken Diet for Dogs and Cats (chubs)
