2 Dead in Apparent Okla. Highway Road Rage Attack

At least two people were killed overnight Wednesday in an apparent road rage attack across western Oklahoma that involved multiple cars, authorities said, NBC News reported.

A man driving with his wife along Interstate 40 westbound was hit by gunfire, police said in a statement. A short time later, Weatherford police found a vehicle just off I-40 and inside was a woman who had been shot.

The suspected gunman — identified as Jeremy Doss Hardy of Pasadena, Texas — was chased by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for about 45 miles and arrested early Thursday without incident in Custer County. The man was being held in the county jail on suspicion of DUI, authorities said.
