A 2.9-magnitude earthquake shook the Sylmar area Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor hit at 4:11 p.m. at a depth of a little more than half a mile, with dozens of people reporting they felt the shaking in and around the San Fernando Valley neighborhood.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
