A woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital in Spring Valley Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies responded to a report of a woman shot in the 8400 block of Paseo Iglesia near Paradise Valley road at 2:49 p.m., San Diego Sheriff's Department (SDSO) confirmed.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, suffered gunshot wounds to her left arm and right hand. She was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.
Deputies searched the area for the suspect, with the help of ASTREA and Sheriff's K-9.
Jaquan Ramsey, 30, was arrested in a complex near the scene of the incident on Paseo Iglesia. Deputies recovered a handgun in the area that Ramsey allegedly used to shoot the victim.
There are no outstanding suspects at this time.
