Woman Hospitalized for Psychiatric Care After Stabbing 2 in San Diego Hotel

The woman jumped out of the hotel window and was taken to a nearby hospital for psychiatric care

A woman was hospitalized after she stabbed two people and then jumped out of a second-story window at a hotel in San Diego Monday, confirmed police.

When officers arrived at the Sara Frances Hometel on the 900 block of Tenth Avenue, the woman was stabbing random victims around 1:52 p.m., said San Diego Police Sgt. Tom Sullivan.

A K9 unit was called to the scene, before the woman jumped out of a second-story window, said Sullivan. She hit the ground hard and was taken to the UC San Diego medical hospital for psychiatric care.

The victims received minor cuts and will be okay, according to San Diego police. No further information was immediately available.
