Woman Attacked Outside Rancho Penasquitos Home

A woman was attacked by a stranger outside her Rancho Penasquitos home on Monday night, San Diego police said.

An unknown man approached the woman in the area of the 12700 block of Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. and grabbed her, police said.

A passerby alerted the passerby’s husband; the victim called police and made a statement for a police report.

The case is being investigated as a sexual battery, police said.

The suspect is described as being in his late teens or early 20s, between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 170 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes. He wore dark blue clothing and mittens.
