Several San Diegans reported seeing some odd, fiery objects in the sky over the South Bay Thursday night, according to a published report.
The reports came in to Chula Vista police and the California Highway Patrol around 6:40 p.m. last night according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
The calls suggested something in the sky was on fire, the paper reported.
Diana Joubert, of the FAA's 24-hour operations center, told the paper that FAA officials checked various San Diego County airports and found no reports of aircraft crashes, mishaps or equipment failures.
