A 33-year-old woman fought off an attempted sexual assault near Serra Mesa Library, police said.
The woman was walking alone toward the library at 9005 Aero Drive shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday when a man grabbed her from behind, San Diego police Sgt. Paul Rorrison said.
"[She] fought off the suspect and ran into the library," Rorrison said, adding that the woman was not hurt.
Witnesses said the suspect fled, possibly in a pickup truck, he said. No description of the suspect was immediately released.
The sex crimes unit of the San Diego Police Department is investigating the incidetn.
