The USS George Washington has delayed its departure from North Island Air Base in Coronado by several days.
The carrier will get underway once necessary repairs are completed. No new departure date has been set yet.
The carrier arrived at North Island in August as part of a planned three carrier swap with the Ronald Reagan and the Theodore Roosevelt.
