The University of San Diego is holding a musical celebration to honor the canonization of Mother Teresa.
The world premiere of “The Poorest of the Poor: Music for Mother Teresa” will start at 2 p.m. in Founder’s Chapel on campus at USD.
The USD Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Jeffrey Malecki, and the USD Choral Scholars, conducted by Dr. Emilie Amrein, will perform the piece composed by Dr. Thomas Bough of Northern Illinois University.
Father Belisario Gonzalez Aguilar of Saint Teresa’s order, the Missionaries of Charity, will lead a discussion about her life and service.
