Umbrella or Not?

Light rain fell early Thursday morning in San Diego County and there is a chance the wet weather could last, forecasters said.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 20 percent chance of showers today in coastal, valley and mountains areas. The rest of today's forecast called for partly cloudy skies.  Tonight, there is a 20 percent chance of showers throughout most of the county.

Strong wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour are also likely tonight in mountains and desert areas, according to the Weather Service.

Temperatures today were expected to peak mostly in the mid-60s in coastal and valley areas, high 50s in the mountains and low 70s in the deserts.

Forecasters were calling for a chance of rain this weekend, but it looks like the storm will probably miss San Diego.
