A fight broke out at trolley station in Encanto Wednesday night, police confirmed.
The disturbance was reported just before 8 p.m. at the trolley station at 62nd and Imperial. San Diego Police Department (SDPD) Officer Robert Heims said that in addition to the fight, it appeared someone involved in the altercation also set a trash can on fire.
Heims said an ambulance was called to the scene, but did not specify if anyone had been injured in the incident.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson told NBC 7 crews were called to the trolley station just before 8:20 a.m. for a report of a rubbish and trash can fire.
An arson investigator was also called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
It is unclear what led to the fight. No further details were released.
