Three people have been arrested and accused of stealing landscaper vehicles in Poway, Ramona and Escondido.
San Diego County sheriff’s deputies said they arrested Danny Hernandez, Luis Alcantar and Cristina Rodriguez in connection to a string of vehicle burglaries in North County.
Thursday morning, deputies came across one of the suspect’s vehicles as they were responding to a report of a theft of a landscaping vehicle in the 13000 block of Westmark Drive in Poway.
Authorities followed the suspects to a mall parking lot, where they were arrested, deputies said.
The three, suspected of at least nine vehicle burglaries, were booked in jail on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property among other charges.
The investigation is continuing and deputies ask anyone with information to call the sheriff’s department’s non-emergency line at 858-565-5200.
