Taxi Plows Into Downtown Bank

A taxi slammed into a bank in downtown San Diego Monday night, damaging the building and sending the cab driver to the hospital, officials confirmed.

The crash happened just before 11 p.m. at 1st Avenue and Market Street. The driver of a green American Cab taxi collided with another vehicle before drifting off the road and plowing into a Wells Fargo bank.

The cab driver suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.
