An early morning standoff in El Cajon ended with the arrest of a 38-year-old man, a sheriff's lieutenant said.
Jonathon Terrell walked out of his apartment and surrendered to authorities early Friday morning in the 1500 block of Graves Avenue, San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Jim Bolwerk said.
Around 11:40 p.m. Thursday, Terrell threatened a neighbor with a firearm over an ongoing dispute, then went into his apartment and refused to come out, Bolwerk said.
Deputies evacuated 16 neighboring apartments and called in a SWAT team and crisis negotiators, who used a 'flash bang' to get Terrell to safely surrender.
No one was hurt.
