Suspect Sought in El Cajon Stabbing That Left Man With Life-Threatening Injuries

Officers are searching for a suspect who stabbed a man several times in El Cajon.

A person called the El Cajon Police Department (ECPD) at about 2 a.m. Friday and said a man was "bleeding out" and hung up, Lt. Jason Taub said.

ECPD traced the call to the 800 block of N. Mollison Avenue, where they found a man with multiple stab wounds, Taub said. 

The man's injuries were life-threatening and medics transported him to a nearby hospital.

No suspect is in custody. 

ECPD detectives were at the scene investigating at 6 a.m. Friday. The public was asked to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
