Suspect Sought in AM/PM Robbery: Oak Park

Police say suspect stood in line before displaying handgun and demanding cash

San Diego police are looking for a suspect who posed as customer at an Oak Park area gas station before robbing it on Sunday morning, police said.

The robbery occurred at the AM/PM located at 1817 Euclid Ave at about 6:24 a.m., said Officer Frank Cali.

The suspect, said to be a 30 to 40-year-old man, stood in line before revealing a black handgun and demanding cash, Cali said.

After being given an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene, heading northbound on Euclid Ave, according to a report.

The man was described as weighing 160 to 180 pounds, with a mustache and wearing a black hat, gray hoodie sweater with light gray horizontal stripes on his shoulders.

No one was injured during the incident and the Robbery unit is investigating.
