A suspect was taken into custody after fleeing authorities at the end of a pursuit near El Cajon, San Diego Sheriff's officials (SDSO) said.
The pursuit began at approximately 9 p.m. when SDSO deputies attempted to pull over a suspect. When the suspect failed to yield, authorities began to pursue the suspect.
At one point, the man stopped his car and fled on foot, SDSO Lt. Arreola said.
The suspect was taken into custody nearby after someone called in a report of a suspicious person.
No further information was available.
