An Oceanside couple are one step closer to building a windmill in their suburban back yard, according to a published report.
Keith and Margie Tannler were able to get a permit last week from the city planner, the North County Times reported. The proposed windmill would be 37-feet tall and sit behind the couple's hilltop residence on Echo Place.
The Tannlers still need a final approval from Oceanside before moving ahead with the project.
