Hit-and-Run Driver in SR-94 Collision Injured in Rollover Crash

CHP officers said the SUV had been involved in a crash on nearby State Route 94 when the driver left the scene and exited the highway at Kenwood

A driver involved in a crash on a San Diego highway Wednesday drove off onto a surface street in Spring Valley where he collided with a parked car, California Highway Patrol officers said.

Neighbors rushed out of a nearby apartment complex when they heard the sound of the crash just after midnight.

An SUV collided with a parked car along Kenwood Drive and damaged a fire hydrant.

CHP officers said the Ford Explorer SUV had been involved in a crash with a Nissan Altima on nearby State Route 94 when the driver left the scene and exited the highway at Kenwood.

At that point, the hit-and-run driver collided with the parked car and the hydrant.

One resident told NBC 7 a man was pulled from the wreckage, unconscious and bleeding.

CHP officers confirmed there were two patients with what they described as minor injuries.
