A hiker was rescued from a canyon in Solana Beach around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Solana Beach lifeguards.
Lifeguards and medics accessed the victim through the canyon, but Copter 10 was used to hoist the hiker to safety.
The patient was transported to Scripps La Jolla via helicopter to treat injuries.
