A small plane flipped over on Montgomery Field Tuesday evening, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (SDFD) confirmed.
The incident happened around 6:05 p.m. on runway 28L at Montgomery Field off Aero Drive.
According to SDFD, the pilot got out of the plane safely and was not injured.
It's unknown what caused the plane to flip.
No other information was immediately available.
