Firefighters jumped on a small brush fire burning Wednesday in Allied Gardens, holding it to just a section of brush along Mission Gorge Road.
San Diego Fire-Rescue crews arrived to the fire off Mission Gorge Road just before 1 p.m., according to a spokesperson.
The fire was burning in the thick brush but was not threatening any nearby structures.
