A 70-year-old sexual assault suspect was extradited from Mexico to San Diego yesterday, Escondido police officials reported.
Ricardo Perez Borbon of Escondido was arrested for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl in 2009 and violating his parole. Borbon, a registered sex offender, was found in Mexico after he cut off his GPS monitor and did not return his parole officer’s calls.
He will be transported to Escondido Police Department and then Vista Detention Facility. Borbon is expected to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. on Friday Sept. 9 in Vista Court.
