Teen with Autism Found, Returned to Family

After a week of searching, San Diego police announced Wednesday that a teenager with autism has been found and was back with his family.

Guillermo Gradilla, 18, has autism and epilepsy and does have a history of running away, police said.

On August 1, police sent out an alert to the public asking them for help to find Gradilla who walked away from his family's home on Sunday.

He has traveled to Mexico and the Los Angeles area to look for relatives in the past, according to the SDPD.

He was last seen at the E Street Trolley Station in Chula Vista on Monday when he was cited by the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System for fare evasion, police said.

Police did not release details on when and where Gradilla was found.
